It was a regular Thursday in November 2012. We played at the Dolhuis in Dordrecht, supported by Jacco Gardner. Great show, great people, great audience, only parking the bus was kind of painful... Conclusion; a good Thursday night in November with the band...
"Let's head back to Amsterdam!"
Satisfied, you start driving. And then, somewhere between Dordrecht and Amsterdam in the middle of nowhere, you suddenly receive a phone call from Jacco Gardner: "Guys, did you leave your synth in Dordrecht?" As we actually did leave it, Jacco and his band took our synth with them, whilst we were waiting at a lonely petrol station near somewhere for the nightly synth-band-bus-swap to be happening. Time was passing, toilets were used and snacks were bought... And then, just when Jacco was handing over our synth, he received a call from Dordrecht, asking whether they might have mixed up suitcases and taken the wrong suitcase with them. A suitcase filled with microphones of the Dolhuis. Nope, they didn't but we did....
This morning, a little suitcase, filled with microphones made a little trip from Amsterdam, back to Dordrecht, accompanied by Geert de Groot. Geert you are today's hero and probably tomorrow's hero as well, as we do not yet know what we will take or do not take along with us from Cafe de Amer in Amen tonight...
HALLELUJAH ! AMEN!
See you at Amen tonight for more ringing the changes...
And thanks a lot, Jacco Gardner for the cosy little synth-band-bus-swap...
